WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No. 72 Valentin Vacherot of the Texas A&M men's tennis team fell in the NCAA Singles Round of 16 Friday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. Vacherot dropped a highly contested three-set match to No. 7 Borna Gojo of host-Wake Forest.
Vacherot wrapped up his sophomore season at 31-13 and became the third Aggie to earn All-American status in singles, joining No. 5 Patrick Kypson and No. 12 Arthur Rinderknech. The trio of singles All-Americans marks the first time in program history that the Aggies have produced more than one singles All-American in a year. Gojo claimed the 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-2 win over Vacherot to advance to the quarterfinals.
